Sistem Teknik builds facilities for melting aluminium chips with a capacity of up to 100 tons per day. Aluminium chips from sawing and machining are magnetically separated and dried before being charged to the melting furnace. To reduce oxide formation and metal loss, the oil and moisture content are reduced to 0.5 percent, and the melting furnace is charged from the vortex well. The chips are continuously charged at a rate of 2 to 5 tons per hour.
The melting furnace is fed through the vortex well on the electromagnetic pump (or mechanical pump), while the chips are immersed in liquid metal instantly, resulting in less than 1% metal loss. Environmentally friendly and low energy consumption (550-600 kW/ton aluminum) facilities are installed with the system’s low NOx burners.
